Chain Mail Bikini Contest for Newbies

<img:http://elftown.eu/stuff/2237_wiki_help_9y7vcgcflr5.jpg>

How to post your entry:
Add your image after the last one that has been already posted. Don't forget to write its title and your user name. For example:

1. "Title" - [insert user name]

Rules:

1. Only people who have Not Won an Elftown Art Competition before can enter. If you already have won a competition, then you can put your art outside of the competition on Chain Mail Bikini Contest showoff.

2. NO STEALING ART! Images must be created by Elftowners and posted here by the original artist. Which means, no matter how much you might like a particular image on somebody's house, you are not allowed to add it here. This includes random images from the net too. MAKE YOUR OWN DARN IMAGES, DON'T STEAL THEM AND TRY TO CLAIM THEM AS YOUR OWN! That makes us angry, very angry indeed.
Please put forth your best effort and the best quality, i.e. no drawings on lined notebook paper. Any such entry will be removed. Also, scan your images if at all possible.
Last but not least, it can happen an artwork has the same title as another one; this is not against the rules as long as the artists' names are clear.

3. EACH MEMBER MAY SUBMIT ONE ENTRY.

4. ALL IMAGES MUST BE UPLOADED TO ELFTOWN! Ask [Sunrose] or [Charybdis] for wiki-privs if you don't have them already; members who follow the uploading art rules, and thus are not troublemakers, will be granted these privs. See advanced help for more information about privs.

5. SUBJECT MATTER: Images that depict graphic violence, pornography or other disturbing actions will not be accepted. Only images that fit the theme will be allowed.

6. All mediums, except photography (and/or manipulations) and animated GIF's, will be accepted.

What will we be expecting? Creativity!

The theme is: Draw any creature (Elf, orc, hobbit, etc.) in a chain mail bikini.

Images not following the theme will be removed.

Deadline: July 31st

Winners will receive the coloured squirrel badge while participants will receive the non-coloured.

2006-06-24 [kay-chan]: Can you take liberties with the term 'chain mail'? XD (I couldn't help but think of the kind you receive from annoying people on et... >.>)

2006-06-24 [Blaithin]: Chain mail armour like Knights wear. Just look at the entries so far to see examples of it :)

2006-06-24 [kay-chan]: Haha, yeah, I knew what you meant. Just saying that I could make a bikini out of letters that are chain mail and TECHNICALLY would still be within the guidelines. I WON'T no worries, just trying to be funny. XD

2006-06-24 [Blaithin]: You could but you'd have to make it obvious that they're chain letters or it could be subject to controversy ;P

2006-06-24 [Calico Tiger]: And if you did it cleverly, it could look still like a chainmail bikini and a chain letter bikini ;)

2006-06-24 [kay-chan]: Oooooooooh... *plots* I'm debating, though... I also just had this image of a fairy with a chainmail bikini, but since they're so small, she could just use one link for each... personal bit. Hahaha IGNORE MEH. >.<

2006-06-24 [Zab]: I want to enter this one..:P *first time I'm happy I never managed to win anything..x)*

2006-06-24 [Anomynous]: This is more to serve my professional curiosity... could we use half-plates, scalemail, or any other types of piecemail?

2006-06-24 [Blaithin]: I don't think so. The contest is a Chain Mail contest plus it'd be a bit hard to make bikini's out of the others although scalemail is fairly similar so it would be harder to distringuish between the two.

2006-06-24 [Anomynous]: well, you see... half-plate is a chainmail with bits of plate stuck to it, that's why I asked.

2006-06-24 [Blaithin]: If they're variations of chain mail then I see nothing wrong with using them.

2006-06-24 [Anomynous]: Aye, aye! I'll get cracking, then!

2006-06-24 [Angelic nightmares]: So, its like a chain bikini then?

2006-06-24 [Angelic nightmares]: Ok. ^_^ Thats for clearing that up [Zab]

2006-06-24 [Zab]: No problem :)

2006-06-25 [Anomynous]: "Egads! I just remembered why I never liked chainmail *shaking from head to toe* Pills... must... headache... take..."

2006-06-25 [kay-chan]: You think it's hard to DRAW... Try WEARING the stuff. >.< Owwww...

2006-06-25 [Anomynous]: No, thanks! I don't want to see another ring-based piece of clothing for at least three months after this...

2006-06-28 [kabutali]: Um, I was going to post my drawing while it was still in pencil. But if I were to color it can I replace the original pencil drawing with the colored one?

2006-06-28 [Angelic nightmares]: Yes
